The Port Autonome de Cotonou (PAC) joins the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) as a regular member

International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has welcomed the Port Autonome de Cotonou as a regular member.

The Port Autonome de Cotonou (PAC) represents the port authority. It is an industrial and commercial public body with civil personality and financial autonomy, created on 31 December 1964 by Law No. 64-39, as amended by Ordinance No. 76-55 of 11 October 1976. The Port Autonome de Cotonou (PAC) is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the facilities of the Port of Cotonou, to manage the port area and to carry out the works of improvement and extension of said port.

The Port of Cotonou is a port with regional vocation, having logistic offers and remarkable services. Located on the southern edge of the city of Cotonou, economic capital of the Republic of Benin, it offers a natural outlet to countries without a maritime facade and neighboring Nigeria. This position therefore gives it the role of transit port par excellence in the Gulf of Guinea region.
