To improve and strengthen the overall security performance to meet ISPS standards for Ports safety and efficiency, the Management has contracted Prestige Security Services for a three month security consultancy service.

The consultancy service seeks to provide technical assistance for the implementation of an assessment, training and rebranding of the security system and operations at the Port of Banjul.

Managing Director, Ousman Jobarteh was earlier today at the Security briefing to explain the essence of the exercise. He encouraged them to make the most out of the assessment for improved performance, as the Ports expands its facilities to cater for the increasing demand.

We are optimistic that, at the end of the exercise, the capacity of GPA security personnel will be enhanced to accommodate the changing global security needs for greater output, as 350 security personnel of the Authority will be trained.
