Implementation of the pact of Saly, a strong delegation of Dakar Port Authority at Bamako

 

A strong delegation from the Dakar  Port Authority, headed by the Director General, Aboubacar Sedikh Bèye, is visiting Bamako from 27 to 30 June 2021 at the invitation of the Malian private sector, “a major partner of the Port Autonome de Dakar following the Senegal-Mali Economic Forum held in Dakar on 3&4 June 2021”, according to a press release.

This delegation also composed of some executives of the PAD and the port stakeholders, will have the mission to examine, according to the same release, “the modalities of implementation of the pact of Saly, which will contribute, among other things, to the positioning of the Port of Dakar as a regional logistics hub at the service of West African economies and particularly at the service of the Senegalese-Malian economies.

During this stay in the malian capital, the Director General of the Dakar Port Authority and his suite will exchange with their malian partners on the level of evolution of the practical implementation of the Pact of Saly between Senegal and Mali.

Recall that “the pact of Saly, is the result of the seminar held in Saly in November 2020 and which led to the signing of a pact on November 30, pact that sealed the commitment of all stakeholders in the port community including Malian partners, to optimize operations and strengthen the competitiveness of the port of Dakar.
