The Kenya Ports Authority has acquired two new fuel bowsers
The Kenya Ports Authority has acquired two new fuel bowsers to enhance efficiency in the fueling of cargo handling equipment and standby generators at the Port of Mombasa.
The fuel bowers are equipped with new automated tank stock and fueling control dispensing management technology system, with a tank capacity of 12,000liters. The other two fuel bowers acquired earlier have a capacity of 8000 liters.
The bowsers’ supply and decanting systems are rated at 350litres per minute, with an upgraded uplift for metered self-loading from the fuel breather. They have a remote control for pulling out in the fueling hoses.
The new equipment will enhance efficiency in fuel management free from pilferages and wastages. The operators can also account for each equipment fueled and the volume dispensed with real time access of data on fueling.
The modern bowsers were supplied by Ms. Mechatronic Ltd (UK) through their local agents Jupiter Energy solutions Ltd.
