The Office des Ports et Rade du Gabon (OPRAG) and Tanger Med Engineering (TME) recently signed a strategic agreement to equip the Owendo and Port-Gentil ports with advanced maritime control systems VTS/AIS.
These cutting-edge technologies will enable optimized maritime traffic management, while enhancing the safety and efficiency of port operations.
This collaboration is the result of fruitful exchanges between the two organizations, represented by Mr. Nasser TLASSELLAL, CEO of Tanger Med Engineering (TME) and Abdelilah TAMIM, Maritime and Port Expert at TME and former Maritime Operations Commander at Port Tanger, on one side, and Mr. Martin BOGUIKOUMA, Director General of OPRAG, MBINA IWANGOU Aymard, Deputy Director General of OPRAG, and NDJOGO Soler, Secretary General of OPRAG, on the other side.
A key step to modernize port and maritime practices and support the economic development of Gabon in line with the vision of the Head of State, H.E Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
