As the face of Maersk Supply Service in Nigeria, you will be working as part of an international and diversified team responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with current and potential clients, and for developing new business opportunities.

Working closely with colleagues based in Europe and Africa, you will be an important part of the team shaping the strategy and future direction for Maersk Supply Service in Nigeria and West Africa, as we aim to further expand our presence and in particular our project management capabilities in the region. Supported by organisations in Copenhagen and Aberdeen, you will be a key player in identifying and winning work and growing our long-term presence in Nigeria. 

Maersk Supply Service offer a position where you will have strong autonomy in your own working day, whilst collaborating closely with our global team. Initially, you will be the single representative for Maersk Supply Service in Nigeria, but by successfully growing the business, we hope to also expand our presence in the country.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying opportunities and winning new business
  • Maintaining and developing existing client, partner and supplier business relationships, as well as with relevant authorities in Nigeria
  • Developing, executing and reviewing the country strategy together with management
  • Representing and supporting the broader Maersk Supply Service organisation as required before, during and after operations

Maersk Supply Service looking for:

Ideally, the candidate is a Nigerian national that:

  • Has proven experience and a strong network in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria
  • Has international experience from having studied and/or worked abroad, preferably with international corporations in or related to the oil and gas industry
  • Has a commercial / business development background or alternatively a project manager/engineer with a commercial mindset
  • Has worked with the offshore marine industry and has knowledge about vessels, marine operations and project management/integrated solutions
  • Is able to work independently and be a self starter, yet be a strong team player that puts ‘we’ before ‘I’
